Membership in the Northeast Washington Genealogical Society is open to anyone interested in researching their ancestors. Our fiscal year begins October 1st. Your dues entitle you to a membership card and a one year subscription to our quarterly publication, "Pioneer Branches", published in October, January, April and July. All members are invited to submit for publication news articles and queries as well as a four generation or ahnentafel charts. Membership benefits include a 10% discount on books published by NeWGS, a copy of the current Holdings list of our genealogical collection at the Colville Public Library, and participation in our surname and locality lists of our members' research interests. Starting October 1, 2008 our membership dues have been raised to $20.00 per year per mailing address. It was voted on at the July meeting to discontinue Individual and Couple categories and have just one fee per mailing address. We still encourage you to add $1.00 to the dues to donate to the NARA fund.* *The NARA Fund is administered by the Federation of Genealogical Societies. For just $1 per year per member, our society can help fund the filming and distribution of difficult-to-access materials housed at the National Archives. Donations to this fund are forwarded to FGS once a year as a group donation. Please consider adding $1.00 to your membership dues.
