Graham and  "Civil War Veterans Buried in Stevens County, Washington" compiled by Roger W. May.  (both 2007). "Colville Collection Book Three: Steamboats on the Upper Columbia & Graham Omnibus"  (2009) and "Colville Collection Book Four" Old Dominion Mine...the Mine that Saved Colville & Jimmie Durkin...A man of his word" (2010) both by Patrick J. "The People's History of Stevens County" by Bohn & Holstine has recently been reprinted by NeWGS with permission from the Stevens County Historical Society.  This wonderful local history has been out-of-print for many years. Check out our publications for sale. (4/2007)

NeWGS member Ann Reeves has contributed digital images of one issue of the San Poil Eagle out of Keller, WA (Ferry County), for May 6, 1926.  All four pages of this issue are included in a pdf file you can view and / or download.  Thank you Ann! (9/2006)

Most of our collection is now included in the online library catalog hosted by the Stevens County Rural Library District.  There is also a complete list that you can download here.

Colville Examiner & Statesman-Examiner
NeWGS recently inherited a nearly complete collection of the Colville Examiner and Statesman-Examiner from 1908 to 1973  (some issues or pages missing) This newspaper has been partially indexed by NeWGS and we are available to search for obits or news items. Please send requests for lookups to research@newgs.org.

Colville Examiner
Issues of the Colville Examiner may now be viewed on microfilm at the Colville Public Library for 21 Mar 1908 through 30 April 1948.  There is also an index to this newspaper available on microfilm for 1908 - 1920.

Submit queries for publication in Pioneer Branches
NeWGS invites members and non-members to submit their  queries via this website.  NeWGS members may submit as many as they would like  and they will be published on a first-come-first-served basis. Member's queries need not be Stevens County related.   Non-members may also submit queries but they must pertain to Stevens County,  and they will be published on a space available basis at no charge.  Go to our Query page to place your query.  These queries will not appear on the website.  To place Stevens County queries online, please go to the Stevens County Message Board.
